To enhance and develop our supervisory and management capability we looked to ‘fast track’ our top talent to meet our requirements both quickly and effectively.
To do this, we sourced and invested in the services of someone who could provide non-trade skills coaching and mentoring. Louise Roberts of Positive Outlook Coaching is able to provide virtual coaching for our selected operatives to realise their potential as supervisors/managers within the next 6-12 months.
Positive Outlook’s specific focus can be personalised to each individual, based on the insights and assessments of roles along with the aims of the individuals themselves. The adapted sessions for each participant will be run virtually using Teams or Zoom. In these individual sessions, the operatives will establish their core goals, a programme of meetings to fit around their work requirements, coaching reviews and future action plans to support their ongoing development.
Through building capability and confidence, as well as meeting the committed goals both the company and the individuals themselves have agreed to, the individuals will be able to progress and be in a strong position to fulfil their new roles. As well as work skills, the individuals will also pick up useful life skills which will assist them out with their working environment.
With the assistance of the CITB skills funding we have been able to once again engage with Positive Outlook Coaching to undertake the coaching described.
