Wester Hailes Education Centre

George Nicolson were pleased to be asked by City of Edinburgh Council to complete the decoration works and graphics installation to the Wester Hailes Education Centre in Edinburgh (or WHEC as it is also known).

Works were completed to the entrance area, corridors, school office reception waiting area, dining hall entrance & exit wall, dining hall, 3 conference rooms and the cafe. Following the preparation and painting of walls, our skilled subcontractor, David Givan, completed the sign writing throughout the WHEC. In addition, 12 glass window panes were installed with impressive client supplied manifestations.

The atmosphere in the school is warm and welcoming with respectful relationships underpinning engaging and exciting learning experiences. Pupils are encouraged to achieve their potential at all times in order to ensure every young person leaves Wester Hailes Education Centre, at their exit point, with a portfolio of qualifications, skills, experiences and a knowledge of the job market so that they can enter a sustained, positive destination of further/higher education, apprenticeship or employment.

The success of the school is built on the partnership of pupils, parents, staff and the wider community.
