George Nicolson are delighted to hold a long term working relationship with The Scotch Malt Whisky Society.
Over many years we have undertaken professional decoration works throughout their venues to areas such as the Members Lounge, Main Staircase, Dining Room, Bar, Library and Tasting Room. The striking cupola within the Main Staircase at 28 Queen Street was decorated with the use of a purpose built scaffold to work from. Furthermore, the impressive image on the specialist digital wallcovering we applied to the ceiling at The Vaults was sourced from a Member’s drawing!
Our most recent project was completed on time within a four week period and within budget.
The Scotch Malt Whisky Society is a club unlike any other. As well as being a place to connect with other like-minded whisky lovers, they are also internationally renowned for their mission: to provide their members with an adventurous and fun journey of discovery of the world’s widest collection of single cask whiskies.
With breathtaking views of the Firth of Forth, 28 Queen Street is an impressive four-storey Georgian building, comprising a suite of modern and elegant rooms. The brand new Kaleidoscope Whisky Bar and Dining Room Restaurant are open to all, with Member’s Exclusive Lounges on the top floors. The bar boasts over 200 rare single malts from across Scotland.
The Vaults, located in the historic Leith area of Edinburgh, remains the heart and soul of the Society. Private rooms for special meals and whisky tasting are available for hire to members and non-members alike.
