George Nicolson were pleased to be asked to install the wall covering to the City of Edinburgh Council Ceremony Suite.
The City of Edinburgh Council wanted to give their prospective clients a view of their new Registrar’s Ceremony Suite at the City Chambers by creating a marketing tool for their website. Following some extensive improvements, the new venue is now located on the ground level of the City Chambers accessed off the historic and iconic Edinburgh’s Royal Mile and provides clients a unique view of the ceremony space from the Council’s website. Ceremony parties and guests will enter through the main entrance of the City Chambers where they will be greeted by the registrar and ushered into our classically furbished suite of rooms.
Guests will be shown into the lounge where they will be able to enjoy opulent but comfortable surroundings and a unique skyline view of the city. The room has been decorated to a very high standard with a baroque and thistle theme running throughout. Soft lighting enhances the gold and cream décor.
The registrar will speak to the couple together, or separately, depending on your wishes in the tastefully furnished ante room. This room also has an impressive vanity mirror to allow last minute finishes to hair etc before the ceremony commences.
At the appropriate time guests will be shown into the spectacular Ceremony Suite. The room has been stylishly decorated in keeping with the iconic City Chambers building but with a modern twist. The theme of baroque and thistle continues with the fabric on the chairs and soft lighting. Soft golden curtains dress the large windows which, along with a classic ornate chandelier create a calm sophisticated ambiance. The Ceremony Suite can hold a maximum of 36 guests.
After the ceremony has concluded the couple will be invited to sign the register in the ante room.
