George Nicolson were pleased to be instructed to undertake the strip out and refurbishment of COOK Morningside, Edinburgh.
Our principal contract team supplied and installed reclaimed timber window boards to all glazed frames and cladding, stripped off the existing tiles and replaced with new. In addition, the existing vinyls to the glass frontage were removed and replaced with vinyl lettering. Upon receipt of the permit from the local authority, the high level decoration works to the shop frontage works were completed by our skilled operatives whilst working off a mobile tower in this busy area of the city. A new timber fascia was installed and clad in a tile finish with a COOK supplied logo fitted along with a new hanging sign.
Internally, we supplied and installed new floating shelves behind the counter area along with new strip lighting. New tiles and trims were fitted to two wall elevations above the worktops and over the staircase. Steel flat rails and hooks were hung onto the shop walls around the perimeter at high and low levels. New worktops and base units installed to form new counter area with cupboards and finished in varnish with new stainless steel inset sink. Natural coir entrance matting was also installed. Freezers remained stocked and power maintained during the project.
