As Principal Contractor, George Nicolsons, together with our sub-contract team, were pleased to be engaged by Greene King, and their direct contractors, to undertake a full refurbishment of Gallus, Glasgow.
Internally, new lighting, carpets and flooring were installed. Sections of the curved seating were removed and the fixed seating re-upholstered. The back bar fittings were adapted and new equipment installed within the kitchen. Toilets were refurbished, together with the existing timber floor with the existing floor tiles being cleaned. Decoration works were completed throughout to the ceilings, walls and woodwork.
Externally, new signage was installed and decoration works completed. Following the removal and replacement of render to a single storey, it was ready for the commissioned and very impressive hand painted mural (first image below) undertaken by the artist & designer Erin Bradley-Scott.
Over a three week period, Gallus was fully transformed through the design and concept created by Melling, Ridgeway & Partners Ltd together with the team at Greene King.
